About

To everything there is a season…

My Story

Full disclosure–I’m on the back slope of my blog’s age demographic. This means I’ve already lived through the seasons and transitions many of you are in right now. This is why I believe I have something to offer. I have been married (to the same woman) for more than 40 years, and together we have raised two children who are now productive young adults. I have been responsible for elderly parents, and grieved their loss. I have transitioned jobs, but stayed within my overall career arc. I have traveled on five continents, and am a student of history and of culture.

I am specifically interested in adult education and development, and have a graduate degree with a focus in these areas. I have been involved with adult education in non-profit, church and higher education settings for more than 30 years. I am committed to bringing to my readers value with insights and practical information from expert sources and from everyday life and experience.

I also have been studying identity and men’s style over the past ten years, evolving how I present myself along the way. Recognizing that we change and evolve over time, I know the importance of developing an Ethos of character and style that helps us stay visible and relevant throughout our seasons of life.

I look forward to guiding my readers with resources for your own journey. Let’s work together and help one another!
